7th Pay Commission Latest News: There is great news for those who have been waiting for the pending DA for several months. The Central Government will soon share some exciting news with thousands of Central Government employees in the country. If your DA money is similarly frozen, you will shortly receive Rs 2 lakh in your account.
Let me tell you that your dearness allowance arrear has been dangling in the air for the past 18 months. According to several media reports, the government may be able to transfer this money to employees' accounts in the coming year.
31% Hike in Dearness Allowance (DA)
Under the 7th Pay Commission, the government boosted the DA of central government employees to 31%. Employees also receive a variety of advantages. The government can conduct a one-time settlement of the frozen DA money, according to Shiv Gopal Mishra, Secretary (Staff Side) of the National Council of Joint Consultative Machinery (JCM).
48 Lakh Central Government Employees & 60 Lakh Pensioners
Money can be put into employees' accounts if the government transfers DA arrear to them all at once. According to the Department of Expenditure's annual report, the country has a total of 48 lakh central employees and roughly 60 lakh pensioners.
Arrears of Level 1 Employees Ranges Upto Rs 37554
If we talk about level 1 employees, the arrears on DA range from Rs 11880 to Rs 37554, according to Shiv Gopal Mishra of the National Council of JCM.
Arrears of Level 13 & 14 Employees Ranges Up to Rs 2,18,200
Level 13 personnel, on the other hand, are paid between Rs 1,23,100 and Rs 2,15,900 in basic salary. Aside from that, if we compute for Level-14 (Pay-Scale), an employee's DA arrears will be paid between Rs 1,44,200 and Rs 2,18,200.
PM Modi to Give Good News Very Soon
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will very soon take a decision on the pending 18-month DA arrears. If PM Modi gives his approval, a large sum of money will be transferred to the employees' bank accounts.
The DA has previously been raised to 31% by the Modi government. This affects more than 48 lakh central government employees and more than 65 lakh retirees.
