7th Pay Commission: The salaries of central government employees could increase by Rs 34,060 in the coming year. Through the fitment element in your income, the Modi government can raise your Basic Pay & Dearness Allowance.
In January 2022, the government has the option of increasing the Dearness Allowance (DA) by 2% to 3%. If the fitment factor allows, the base salary can be enhanced from Rs 18000 to Rs 26,000.
26,000 Will Be Minimum Basic Pay
If the central government raises the fitment factor, central government employees' salaries will rise as well. The basic compensation for all central government employees is determined by the fitment factor. Employees' minimum basic salary was raised from Rs 6,000 to Rs 18,000 in 2016 when the fitment factor was last raised.
A projected increase in the fitment factor could result in a Rs 26,000 minimum basic wage. The current minimum basic pay is Rs 18,000, however, this will rise to Rs 26,000 in the near future.
Allowances Will Increase
The dearness allowance will increase if the basic pay is increased from Rs 18,000 to Rs 26,000. The Dearness Allowance (DA) is equivalent to 31% of the basic salary. The DA rate is multiplied by the basic salary to arrive at the DA amount. That is, as the basic income rises, the dearness allowance will rise as well.
DA To Increase By 3% to 34%
On a basic pay of Rs 26,000, DA at the rate of 31% will be accessible. So, on basic pay of Rs 26000, you'll get a monthly basic pay of Rs 8,060 at a rate of 31%. That is, the minimum monthly pay of Rs 34,060 would be deposited into the account. If the dearness allowance is increased by 3% to 34%, DA will be Rs 8,840 and the minimum monthly payment will be Rs 34,840.
