New Year 2022 seems like a year full of surprises for the Central government employees. After getting the recent hike in the DA, Dr, TA & HRA, there is another great news for the central government employees in the coming year.
If the reports of media are to be believed, then it is true that the central government employees are likely to receive another 3% of hike in the Dearness Allowance in January 2022. With the latest Hike in DA, there will be a massive hike in the salary of these employees.
Center Increase DA of Employees
According to the reports, after the increase in DA, the salary of central government employees will increase by about Rs 20,000.
It must be noted that Central government employees at present are getting a 3% Dearness Allowance. In July & in October, the Dearness Allowance of central employees was increased twice. If the Centre increases the DA of the employees by 3%, then their salary will increase significantly.
However, nothing has been announced officially by the government about the hike in DA, nor there is any statement from the government about when the DA will be increased.
Centre Planning to Increase Fitment Factor
Apart from the hike in Dearness Allowance, there is another piece of great news for the central government employees. According to reports, the Centre is holding discussions to increase the fitment factor. If that fitment factor increases, the salary of the employees will automatically increase.
In 2016, the fitment factor increased for the central government employees. At that time, the basic salary of employees directly increased from Rs 6000 to Rs 18000. Now the Centre is planning to increase the salary of central employees in 2022.
As per reports, the fitment factor of the central & state employees may increase in New Year 2022. With the increase in the fitment factor, the minimum wages of the central employees will increase again.
What is the Fitment Factor?
The Central Government Employees must note that fitment factor, which increases the salary of the central employees by more than two & half times. According to the recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission, the salaries of the central government employees are determined by their basic salary & fitment factor in addition to the allowances.
