Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, (GADVASU) Ludhiana has come out with various activities and events in response to the national call of celebrating 75 years of India's independence.
Dr. lnderjeet Singh, Vice Chancellor, GADVASU chaired the meeting of university officers to dedicate various activities and events by constituent colleges and directorates of the university to 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav'. Dr lnderjeet Singh, Vice Chancellor has declared that, dedicated to Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, GADVASU shall offer 20% discount on price of all books and subscription of all journals published by the university, during the month of India's independence i.e. from 1st '' of August to 31st of August, 2021
Dr. lnderjeet Singh said that this service by the university shall also encourage the farmers to read more books and journals of the university which will spread significant knowledge among animal-owners.
Dr. Charan Kamal Singh, Coordinator of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav; GADVASU informed that university has dedicated the bitch sterilization operations, free of any operation costs, to Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav at GADVASU. The Ludhiana citizens can take advantage of this offer by the university in getting their street dogs sterilized at GADVASU Animal Hospital. He further informed that university plans to showcase its technological development and significant services rendered by the university under the celebrations of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
Dr SK Kansal, Co-Coordinator, informed that various seminars, webinars and trainings have been dedicated to Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav at GADVASU, so far.
