The expo featured 105 exhibitors showcasing their products and services, including the Coffee Board of India, Godrej Creamline Jersey Products, Dodla Dairy, and others. 7500 people attended the twin shows.
It was organised by Media Day Marketing with the assistance of the Federation of Telangana Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FTCCI), the Ministry of Agriculture of the Government of India, the Government of Telangana, and MSME.
Mohd Mahmood Ali, Home Minister of Telangana who inaugurated it predicted a bright future for the industry.
He said, “Milk is a wholesome food. Everyone requires milk. It has been consumed for many years all over the world. And it is the most widely consumed beverage. A dairy and food industry and machinery expo is desperately needed. The industry has a promising future.”
Soma Bharath Kumar, Chairman of Telangana State Dairy Development Cooperative Federation (TSDDCF) also graced the opening shared that the city needs one crore liters of milk every day and the production is around 60 to 70 lakh only.
He also shared the latest developments at Vijaya Dairy. Vijaya Dairy, which was once speculated to be closed, is doing well, achieving Rs 700 crore turnover and aiming for Rs 1000 crore, he informed.
He also shared its expansion plans that they were planning to add 2000 more outlets across Telangana. At the moment Vijaya Dairy has about 1000 outlets. Similarly it is also expanding its products portfolio.
"Currently, we have 27 products. And we will be adding 100 more products such as Milk Shake, Coffee, Tea, Flavoured Milk, Ice Cream, Kulfi, Cookies, Health Bars etc, and others," he added. The expos, which are an annual event, will be held next year from March 8 to 10, 2024.
