The Indian Agricultural Research Institute (ICAR-IARI), New Delhi invites applications for the recruitment of one Project Associate-II in the Division of Plant Pathology under the DBT-funded research project titled “Mainstreaming sesame germplasm and trait discovery” (24-730B). The position is purely temporary and will be filled on a contractual basis, co-terminus with the project.

Master’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences/MVSc, or
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology/Medicine from a recognized university or equivalent.
Minimum 2 years of R&D experience in academic or industrial institutions, or scientific activities and services.

Rs. 35,000/- + HRA for candidates who:

Qualify CSIR-UGC NET, GATE,

Or

Have been selected through national-level exams conducted by Central Government Departments and Agencies.

Rs. 28,000/- + HRA for other eligible candidates not falling under the above category.

Age Limits and Additional Information

1. Age Limit:

Maximum 35 years as of 22nd May 2025
Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST/Women and 3 years for OBC candidates

Candidates reporting after 11:30 AM for certificate verification will not be considered for the interview.

On the day of the interview, candidates must carry all original certificates, including medical fitness certificate for verification. Incomplete applications will be rejected.

Other Important Instructions:

The position is temporary and does not confer any right to permanent appointment at IARI.
If employed, a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the current employer must be presented.
No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
If the candidate has a relative employed at ICAR/IARI, this must be declared in writing at the time of application.
Only candidates fulfilling the essential qualifications will be interviewed.
Concealing of facts or canvassing in any form shall lead to disqualification.
ICAR-IARI reserves the right not to fill the position or to cancel the selection process at any stage without assigning any reason.
