Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualification: Candidates must possess a Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science OR a Graduate/Post Graduate Degree in a Professional Course (Master’s degree in Genetics / Plant Breeding / Genetics and Plant Breeding / Agricultural Biotechnology). The selection criteria include:

Candidates who have qualified through National Eligibility Tests such as CSIR-UGC NET, GATE, or national-level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions.

Desirable Qualification: Experience in plant breeding trials, handling field crops, crossing techniques, and research experience in wheat breeding and molecular biology.

Age Limit: Maximum age is 35 years for JRF (with relaxations of five years for SC/ST & women and three years for OBC). Minimum age should be 18 years as on the date of the interview.
