These women farmers produce Rajma variety of their native land and earn 2.5 lacs with no middleman intervention and their produce is set to be delivered across the world.
Founded by Satyajit and Ajinkya Hange in 2019, two farmers bridged the gap between urban consumers and rural organic farmers empowering 16,000+ farmers through guidance and support. Two farmers who climbed the corporate ladder, but never forgot their agricultural roots.
Two Brothers have bought 2.2 tons of produce from 3 farmer groups in Bichukle village for a total of Rs. 2,55,445! 100 farmers from the taluka have also registered with the brand. Two Brothers also harvest rainwater effectively by creating fertile land that absorbs all the rainwater and replenishes the water table.
Two Brothers Organic Farms Co-Founder, Satyajit Shivajirao, said, “At Two Brothers Organic Farms, we are deeply committed to the transformative power of organic and sustainable agriculture and its impact on communities. Our partnership with the Paani Foundation, an esteemed non-profit organization, mirrors our dedication to these integral values. By joining forces with the hardworking women farmers of Koregaon taluka through the organization, we are investing in more than their native Rajma—we are investing in their empowerment and financial independence. The success of our joint venture, highlighted by a direct sale worth Rs. 2.5 lakhs exemplifies the extraordinary results that stem from removing traditional trade barriers and establishing direct links between the farmers and the market.
"This significant milestone is just the beginning of a joint vision we cherish— where every farmer's effort is fairly compensated, and the world enjoys the most wholesome produce, fresh from the farm to the table. Our collaboration also enabled us to connect with three farmer groups of Bichukle, who cultivated 2.2 tons of produce, and several other hardworking entities. Our efforts reflect our dedication to empowering our farmers to become independent. With the Paani Foundation’s support, we aim to help every individual in the agricultural community thrive. Guided by Paani Foundation’s Farmer Cup principles, we are committed to helping farmers embrace safer and chemical-free produce and become independent for self-sufficiency.”
On joining hands with Two Brothers Organic Farms, Satyajit Bhatkal, CEO, Paani Foundation, said, “Paani Foundation's mission is to create a drought-free and prosperous rural Maharashtra. This cannot be achieved unless farmers are empowered to boost their livelihoods via sustainable water and farming practices. Trusted brands like Two Brothers Organic Farms contribute towards making this possible. Their ethos keeps farmers, and not only sales, at the centre of their work. We are very happy that TBOF has found collaborators in the farmer groups that work with the Paani Foundation. We look forward to strengthening our partnership with TBOF and work with them in a long-term capacity.”
