Sonalika, a leading tractor maker, announced on Tuesday that it had invested Rs 200 crore in a new manufacturing plant in Amb, Himachal Pradesh, to manufacture harvesters.
The company claims that its new plant in Amb spans 29 acres and is equipped with a multi-stage CED (Cathode Electric Deposition) paint process similar to that used in automotive factories.

The corporation has also introduced the 'Samrat,' a new harvester that costs Rs 25.5 lakh.
"The Sonalika Samrat combine harvester, our newest product, is designed to increase farmer efficiency while harvesting. It is completely equipped with cutting-edge technology and features modern comfort and aesthetics to please customers "Mittal made a point.
The harvester is powered by a diesel engine with a power output of 101 HP. It is available in two-wheel drive (2WD) and four-wheel drive (4WD) configurations, as well as a variety of attachments to meet a variety of needs.
Sonalika's Hoshiarpur factory in Punjab produces a heavy duty tractor series with 20-120 HP and 70+ implements to meet the needs of customers all over the world.
