Rajnikant Devidas Shroff, Chairman UPL Ltd is conferred with one of India’s highest civilian awards, the Padma Bhushan for reimagining sustainability and his contribution to the field of trade & industry.
President Ram Nath Kovind presented Padma Awards at the Rashtrapati Bhawan on 8 November 2021. There were a total of 10 Padma Bhushan recipients and among them Rajnikant Devidasbhai Shroff, the founder of UPL Ltd, a global provider of sustainable agriculture products and solutions was the only industrialist to receive this honor.
Shroff has extensive experience of over 50 years and is currently registered with the Ministry of Corporate affairs as a director in Indian Companies. He serves as a director in 23 Companies in India.
The scientist turned entrepreneur said “I have always been a strong nationalist at heart and I am eternally grateful for all the opportunities I had to be a part of the growth of this great nation, and its backbone, which is the agricultural sector. It is truly a humbling experience to be bestowed with such a prestigious award, and it brings immense joy and pride to the UPL Ltd Group.”
Shroff has also received various several other accolades and honors for his contribution to the field of agricultural technology.
