According to latest news reports, PepsiCo Foundation will be giving $500,000 grant each to The Salvation Army and the American Red Cross. PepsiCo’s ‘Food for Good’ will also supply 350,000 healthy meals to families affected by the Hurricane Florence. With more than 16,000 direct employees all through North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Virginia and Tennessee, the foundation is ready to help local authorities as well as relief agencies deal with the situation. PepsiCo’s relief support will be directed to affected communities in New Bern, North Carolina, home of Pepsi-Cola.
Jon Banner, President, PepsiCo Foundation and EVP, Communications said "Our focus is on ensuring that relief agencies have the resources they need to help those impacted by the Hurricane Florence".
The foundation will also keep an eye on the situation in the region and provide all assistance to The Salvation Army and American Red Cross.
