The first of its kind a pre-development of a Low Carbon Tractor (LoCT) has been unveiled by the New Holland, the Global brand in agri machinery at the Low Carbon Vehicle Event 2019, in Millbrook, Bedfordshire, UK. The tractor is a result of the LoCT project. LoCT project fits within the New Holland’s pioneering work in the use of alternative fuels in agriculture. The project aims to design a commercially viable tractor capable of operation on biomethane while complying with the latest European and US emissions standards. This development will take sustainability all the way to possible carbon neutrality. APC (Advanced Propulsion centre) funding is critical to ensuring the commercialization of a truly sustainable low carbon and fully practical tractor in the UK, as it is enabling us to take an earlier innovation further towards a fully commercial solution.
