The ongoing outbreak of the pandemic Coronavirus has caused a tremor in many states in India. Many companies and start-ups are going out of their leagues just to ensure that the government doesn’t fall short of the most essential entities. One of such companies that are coming to support the government to combat the pandemic is the Mahindra Group.
The Mahindra Group has recently joined hands with the Navi Mumbai-based menstrual products start-up Saral Designs to develop surgical face masks for the healthcare providers. The collaboration aims at developing surgical face masks by using Saral’s sanitary pad making machines. The collaboration is an innovative approach which is highly required in the times of ongoing economic crisis.
Anand Mahindra, the Chairman of Mahindra Group, has already inaugurated the Mumbai plant setup in Kandivali for the production of the protective masks. Mahindra Group has been actively giving its contribution in the fight against Coronavirus and has earlier given its share in different ways. The group had donated their vehicles for carrying out swift transportation for healthcare professionals. Apart from it, the automaker had also offered its resorts as isolation centers for the COVID-19 patients.
Breaking out the news on a social media platform, the company said, “Innovation is key to defeating #Covid19. We have joined hands with Saral Designs to modify their sanitary pad making machine and develop surgical face masks for #CovidWarriors #TogetherWeRise #RiseAgainstCovid19.”
