Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.'s Farm Equipment Business (FEB), part of the Mahindra Group, today (September 01, 2025) announced its tractor sales figures for August 2025. Domestic tractor sales reached 26,201 units in August 2025, up 28% from 20,518 units sold in the same month last year.
Total tractor sales, including exports, stood at 28,117 units, compared to 21,917 units in August 2024. Exports for the month were recorded at 1,916 units, reflecting a 37% year-on-year growth.
Commenting on the performance, Veejay Nakra, President of Farm Equipment Business, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., said, "We sold 26,201 tractors in the domestic market during August 2025, a growth of 28% over last year. The above-normal monsoon and improved reservoir levels are positive for both Kharif crops and the upcoming Rabi season. While the IMD's forecast of surplus rainfall in certain areas in September may pose challenges for Kharif harvests, careful management can mitigate risks. Along with continued government support through farmer financing schemes, these factors could boost tractor demand during the upcoming festive season. In the export market, we sold 1,916 tractors, a 37% increase over last year."
