50,000-tonne silo complex by NCML at Sonipat
The National Commodities Management Services (NCML) commissioned a public silo storage facility of 50,000 tonne capacity for wheat storage at Sonipat in Haryana. This was one of the 13 modern storage silo complexes being built by NCML at a cost of Rs 960 crore in Bihar, Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh in collaboration with the Food Corporation of India.

International Potash Institute (IPI) conducted a live discussion on Krishi Jagran’s Facebook page about the benefits of wonderful fertilizer POLYHALITE, specifically for cultivation of Turmeric in India. The panel of the discussion consisted of Dr Adi Parelman, Agronomist, International Potash Institute Coordinator of India with extensive experience in plant breeding and plant physiology and Dr P.K. Karthikeyan, Assistant Professor (soil science), Annamalai University, Tamil Nadu. The discussion focused on the study conducted by International Potash Institute in collaboration with Annamalai University in Erode district of Tamil Nadu.

The Seed Industry through NSAI and FSII reached a consensus on commercialization of framework for new traits for development of superior plant varieties which will benefit the farmers.
