Kubota India- Subordinate Company of Kubota Japan Corporation
Kubota Corporation has announced to invest in Indian Tractor Manufacturer, Escorts Limited in march 2020. Kubota is focused to improve its presence in India through this investment. Looking at Indian Tractor Market, this investment is not so surprising, as the most critical factors are growth potential and expansion in the market.
In India, Kubota mentioned its first presence as Kubota Agricultural Machinery India Pvt. Ltd. (KAI) in 2008 as a foothold in Indian tractor market. In February 2019, Kubota established a Joint Venture with Escorts Limited and mass production started this July. And today, Kubota announced that, Kubota MU4501, 45 HP tractor 2WD will now be manufactured in India, which is already sold in India.
The total amount of investment will be approximately 16 billion Yen.
The first set of MU4501 was hand out today, on 25 September 2020. Manufacturing of this tractor will benefit both the companies from the partnership.
About the Investee Escorts Limited
Escorts Limited established in 1944 in Faridabad, Haryana. Presently, Mr. Nikhil Nanda is its Chairman and Managing Director. This company manufactures AgricultureEquipment, Construction Equipment, and Railways-related Equipment.
Joint Venture Goals
This Joint Venture between both companies is objected to increase the broad range of their business including production, sales, distribution, and parts procurement. Kubota aims for expansion in global reach by benefitting from Escorts Limited’s parts procurement networks and cost reduction capability.
Globally, at a wider extent, Kubota exports in more than 150 countries. In time, Kubota also aims to establish a Joint Research & Development Centre with Escorts Limited to shorten the development period.
Mr. Akira Kato, MD, KAI said, “In the coming years, we will further look forward for steadily enhancing the production line-up, which will be mainly focusing on the advanced technology and precision manufacturing which is the legacy of Kubota’s 130-year-old Japan’s no. 1 tractor brand.
About MU4501 45 HP 2WD Tractor
It has the 4-cylinder, 2434 cc Quad 4 Piston (KQP4) engine. And the weight of this tractor is 1,850 kg. It has a dual clutch, which provides smooth and easy functioning. And the steering type is Power Steering from that tractor get easy to control and fast response. The tractor has Oil Immersed Disc Brakes which provide high grip and low slippage. It has a hydraulic lifting capacity of 1640 kg and Kubota MU4501 2WD 46 HP mileage is economical in every field. It has 8 Forward + Reverse gear box.
