KisanKraft Limited, a leading agritech company specializing in agricultural machinery, tools, and seeds, celebrated its 20th anniversary on August 26, 2025. Founded in 2005 by Ravindra Agrawal in a small garage in Bengaluru, KisanKraft began with a singular focus to make mechanization affordable and accessible to small and marginal farmers. In just two decades, the company has transformed into the largest player in India’s small farm machinery segment, trusted by over 50 lakh farmers across the entire country.

From its humble beginnings, KisanKraft has built a reputation for innovation and farmer-first solutions, offering more than 300 models that span the complete crop cycle- from land preparation and planting to crop management, harvesting, and post-harvest operations.

Over the years, KisanKraft has pioneered affordable mechanization for India’s small and marginal farmers, tackling labour shortages and boosting farm productivity. It has set new quality benchmarks with BIS: ISI-certified products and patented innovations, while building a nationwide network of 5,000+ dealers and 14 regional offices to ensure last-mile access and support.

The company’s Nellore (Andhra Pradesh) manufacturing facility has strengthened domestic production under the Make-in-India vision, and its focus on sustainability has led to innovations such as Sustainable Dry Direct Seeded Rice (SDSR) technology, stubble shavers, and electric-powered equipment to address environmental challenges.

“We started with a single goal — to bring affordable and efficient tools to the farmers who need them the most,” said Ravindra Agrawal, Founder & Chairman of KisanKraft. “As we look ahead, our vision is to position India as a global hub for small farm machinery by producing world-class equipment and delivering end-to-end mechanization solutions for the country’s top 20 crops, enhancing efficiency at every stage of farming, in India and across the globe.”

KisanKraft’s impact on rural India has been far-reaching, extending beyond agricultural productivity to the very socio-economic fabric of rural communities. By enabling small and marginal farmers to own, operate, and monetize modern equipment, the company has created new avenues for income generation. Its mechanic training programs have fostered rural entrepreneurship and built localized service networks, while its affordable machines, many of which recover their cost within a single cropping season have significantly boosted farmer profitability. In addition, it has strengthened the rental ecosystem, where equipment owners lease machines to fellow farmers, improving asset utilization and increasing rural incomes.

As the company aims to expand its exports to more than 50 countries, establishing itself as a globally recognized brand in small farm machinery, it plans to deliver end-to-end mechanization solutions for the top 20 major crops in India such as Rice, Wheat, and Maize, among others. At the same time strengthen and diversify its seeds division with resilient, high-yield varieties aligned with climate-smart agriculture. The company will shortly launch indigenously developed battery-powered weeders to promote sustainable mechanization.

Future priorities also include expanding the distribution network further into underserved rural markets, strengthening training programs for mechanics, operators, and farmers to improve equipment usage and longevity, and launching region-specific machinery tailored to local crops, soils, and practices. At the same time, the company is integrating digital tools to enhance farmer engagement through mobile-based advisory, service scheduling, and seamless spare parts ordering.
