In a significant step towards sustainable agriculture, IPL Biologicals has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI) for the development of an innovative biocontrol formulation targeting nematodes. This collaboration aims to introduce cutting-edge biological solutions to enhance crop protection and soil health.
The MoU exchange was held in the presence of Dr. Viswanathan Chinnusamy, Joint Director of Research, along with Dr. N.A. Shakil, Head of the Division of Agricultural Chemicals, and Dr. Virendra S. Rana, Principal Scientist, Natural Product Chemistry, IARI. Representing IPL Biologicals, Dr. Vimala Prakash, Head of the Technology and Innovation Center (TIC), and Prakash Dhameja, Chief Financial Officer (CFO), received the agreement on behalf of the company.
This collaboration reinforces IPL Biologicals’ commitment to pioneering eco-friendly agricultural solutions. By leveraging advanced microbial formulations with a high Colony-Forming Unit (CFU) count, the company aims to provide farmers with sustainable tools to combat soil-borne pests like nematodes, thereby improving crop productivity and resilience.
