Recently, Coromandel International Ltd. successfully celebrated ‘Stewardship Day’ along ten divisions. A total of 150 meetings were held across India with teams on the ground, with over 10,000 farmers participating. The campaign for the ‘Safe Use of Agrochemicals’ was led by regional teams in collaboration with teams from the Head Office.
The meetings were attended by farmers, agriculture department officials, and pesticide dealers. The event was entirely dedicated to farmers, their safety, and their well-being on the auspicious occasion of Kisan Diwas.
The purpose of holding a number of farmer meetings across the country on Farmer's Day was aimed at educating farmers on pesticide safety, including how to properly use them, handle them, and most importantly the harmful effects of careless use, instructions on how to read the labels on the product packages, the correct quantity of usage, ways to incorporate protective equipment when spraying, and much more.
'Stewardship Day' is symbolic to mark their step in the direction of accomplishing the organization’s mission of “enhancing the prosperity of farmers through quality farm solutions with sustainable value for all stakeholders.”
