BoMill AB, a Swedish Agritech company, has introduced ‘BoMill InSight,’ industrial grain sorting equipment that can sort grain lots kernel by kernel, at speeds of up to 15 tph, based on the internal properties of each kernel.
BoMill InSightTM is built on a brand-new technological platform designed with versatility and low total cost of ownership in mind and is based on BoMill's proven quality sorting technology using Near-Infrared Transmittance (NIR-T) spectroscopy.
It can also analyze approximately 125 000 kernels per second, meeting the most stringent industry standards. The BoMill (Agritech Firm) brand exemplifies the equipment's unique ability to uncover what cannot be seen by looking inside each individual kernel and sorting each individual kernel based on its internal quality parameters at industrial speed.
Its modular design, which consists of a light and sturdy frame with up to eight sorting modules, enables efficient set-up and installation to suit various configurations, low utility consumptions, simplified maintenance to maximize customer uptime, and expandable capacity to meet customers' future needs.
"We are facing global challenges related to grain supply as well as the implementation of stricter regulations, emphasizing the need for technologies that offer new capabilities," said Andreas Jeppsson, CEO.
"I am looking forward to seeing the results of our new BoMill InSight, which provides the grain industry and food processors with unique opportunities to capture the hidden value of grains while helping to reduce waste in the value chain."
BoMill InSight has begun industrial field testing in collaboration with the Swedish grain mill Lilla Harrie Valskvarn, which is part of the Pgen Group, Sweden's market-leading bakery. The results of the field test will then pave the way for the equipment's continued launch.
In the meantime, the company is ready to begin promoting and selling BoMill InSight to its target markets, having already received its first order from GL. BUURHOLT, Scandinavia's leading mobile grain processor. The delivery date has been set for the first quarter of 2023.
