Today (1 November) is World Vegan Day, the day that is celebrated by the vegan community across the world, to encourage the practice of following an all-green diet that excludes dairy and animal products.
People are encouraged to adopt a vegan lifestyle and made aware about the same as it is beneficial in keeping heart diseases, certain cancers, type-II diabetes, and arthritis, lung and kidney diseases at bay.

World Vegan Day today is marking 77 years of its establishment, i.e., 1st November 1994. The day was specifically established on this date to mark the Golden Jubilee of the UK Vegan Society and to celebrate the term ‘Vegan’. Also, on this day only, the ‘Vegan Society’ was formed.
Difference vegan and vegetarian
We often confuse the word ‘vegan’ as ‘vegetarian’ but there is a difference that we tend to miss. ‘Vegetarians’ are the ones who do not consume meat, eggs or other animal products, while ‘Vegans’ are the ones who do not consume daily products such as milk, cheese, yogurt, paneer, and so on.

VEG PULAO/BIRYANI: This is another wholesome one-pot meal that you do need to add to feel exotic and living. The goodness of stirred vegetables, energy of rice and taste of the flavorful condiments that go into it, all of them emerge as one super-delicious dish for dinner.
RAJMA CHAWAL: One of the most popular and go to Indian dish, made with boiled kidney beans cooked in rich veggie gravy, with steaming hot rice. It is a very good source of protein and full of taste.
