These 5 foods can help in curing fatty liver

Fatty liver is a very common disease nowadays. This is a very serious condition that can be life-threatening if not taken care of. There are two types of fatty liver - Alcoholics and Non-alcoholics. Fatty liver disease affects one-third of adults in the United States. Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease is more common in people who are overweight, sedentary, and eat highly processed foods.

Fatty liver disease affects one-third of adults in the United States. Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease is more common in people who are overweight, sedentary, and eat highly processed foods. 

Fatty liver is often caused due to excess of fat in the diet.  In fact, we can control this disease by taking little care in our diet. In a healthy person, the liver produces bile, which helps to remove toxins from our body. But the liver of a person with fatty liver disease loses its ability to produce bile and the toxins stay in the blood, causing many health problems such as kidney disease.

Foods to control fatty liver

For people with alcoholic fatty liver disease, fatty liver can be controlled to some extent by including these foods in daily life after complete cessation of alcohol. 

Leafy Vegetables  

Eat plenty of leafy vegetables. Eating leafy vegetables like broccoli, spinach, brussels, sprouts and kale can also help you lose weight. Eating leafy vegetables is good for your health. 

Fish  

By eating salmon and tuna which are high in omega-3 fatty acids, we can reduce inflammation of the liver. It also helps in eliminating fat. Besides being rich in heart-healthy omega-3s, salmon is a low-calorie protein source that's also low in saturated fat. The American Heart Association suggestsat least two 3.5-ounce servings of fatty fish like salmon per week. 

Oats  

The fibre contained in oats reduces appetite. It also helps in removing unwanted fats and maintaining weight.  

Walnuts 

Walnuts have higher antioxidant activity than any other common nuts. Walnuts are very good for health. In a study in 10 obese people, drinking a smoothie made with about 48 grams of walnuts once a day for five days decreased appetite and hunger, compared to a placebo drink equal in calories and nutrients. 

Avocados  

Healthy fats are high in avocados.  It is a remedy for liver damage. Research shows that they contain chemicals that help keep the liver healthy. They are also rich in fibre which helps in weight control.
