Pudina or mint is a plant that belongs to the family Lamiaceae. It is a herb with aromatic fragrance. This can be used in many dishes all over the India for nutrition value and other benefits. In this article you will know about the uses of pudina juice for skin and hair.

Benefits of Pudina

For Skin: - Pudina is a good source of menthol. It is used as moisturizers, toners, and cleansers for the skin. It helps to get your complexion brighter. This can be treated to prevent acne by cleaning the pores. It provides a remedy for any kind of itching and irritation caused due to insect bites or foreign particles. It keeps the skin soft and resists being dry under any condition. It reduces body scars and removes dead skin cells so that it slows the aging process. It gives your skin a refreshing look. 

For Hair: Pudina plays a key role in dealing with damaged hair. In case you are suffering from a huge amount of hair loss then you have to try the mint paste. It will be a boon for dandruff stuffed hair also. The mint keeps the hair follicle healthy and smoothens the keratin (a protein present in hair). So, the hair can be nourished and nurtured with the help of this pudina.

The pudina can be grown very easily at home and requires little amount of maintenance. It also enhances hair growth for multiple factors. If you want to get the best result you have to use this pudina in oil form. Pudina oil gives a cure to the dry scalp problem too by increasing the blood circulation in the brain and by strengthening the hair root. It also treats with the issue of lice too. 

Side effects of Pudina

Side-effects: - There are some side-effects of pudina too. The side effects are – 

  • Someone’s skin may not adapt to the use of the pudina paste as it can result in rashes and inflammation.

  • It can do harm to the digestive system and its internal organs.

  • This can lead to dizziness and severe headache in the human body in some cases.

  • It can be fatal if used with some specific chemical or drugs. 

  • It is advisable not to use pudina in case of pregnant and lactating women.

  • It slows down the heart rate resulting bradycardia.

  • It causes breathing problems in case of children and infants and harms their lungs too.

  • If takes in excessive amount can cause redness on the face and growing of blisters, seizures etc. 

  • Other side-effects caused due to this are heartburn, nausea, vomiting, and sterility.

  • Those who are suffering from gastroesophageal reflux disease(GERD) should not use mint as in their cases it can be act as a toxic substance.
