The second wave of COVID- 19 has wreaked havoc in our lives. More than 3 lakh cases are being reported everyday in our country along with the acute shortage of beds and oxygen supply in our hospitals. But, as per reports, more than 80 percent of COVID- 19 patients are recovering at home through tele-consultations with doctors.
Tips for Quick Recovery
It is advised not to rush to the hospital even if you receive a positive report. You must consult with your doctor regarding your health conditions and then let them decide whether you need to get hospitalized or need to be in- home isolation. However, after recovering from COVID there is another problem being faced by the patients is the weakness. Below are some tips for faster recovery after COVID- 19 infection:
1. Include following fruits into your diet:

You should start your day with a plate of fresh fruits like Apple, Pomegranate, Orange and Papaya. These fruit provides a good amount of nutrients and vitamins that helps you in regaining your strength back.

You can also take mixed fruit juices, which can help you in getting rid of weakness faster. But, if possible, you can have raw fruits in the morning and take juices during the evening to increase your consumption.
2. Drink Turmeric Milk:
At every night, before sleeping, take a glass of warm turmeric milk. Milk helps in strengthening the bones and treating the weakness of your body.
3. Eat a variety of Vegetables:
One must eat different types of vegetables during our lunch and dinner as consuming vegetables is essential for our body. We can also drink vegetable juices includes spinach, tomatoes, carrot and beetroot. These vegetables are rich in minerals and vitamins, which will make you more energetic.
4. Steam inhalation:
Taking steam with plane water 2- 3 times a day has proven very helpful in treating symptoms like cough, cold and congestion. Performing steam inhalation may also help in decreasing the respiratory issues, congestion issues in the nasal passage and airways.
5. Stay Hydrated:
This is very essential for faster recovery. Though you might not feel like drinking a lot of water, it's absolutely important to keep yourself well- hydrated. Instead of water, you can also drink coconut water, juices etc.
6. Do Breathing Exercises:
Performing breathing exercises that can boost your oxygen level is very important. It's of utmost importance that you practice these exercises to strengthen your lungs.
7. Don't put pressure on yourself:
Don’t put too much work pressure on yourself. Some problems might persist even after a negative report, so be relax and avoid over-thinking.
8. Follow Social Distancing Norm:
Even after recovery, keep a checking your oxygen levels and follow social distancing norms on daily basis. Always wear a mask at home and rest for at least 10 days after your corona report comes negative.
9. Take Multivitamins:
With doctor’s permission, you can take some multivitamins like Vitamin C and Zinc tablets. Having multivitamins regularly can help in eliminating the toxins from the body.
10. Stay positive:
Staying positive is the key during these times. After getting infection, you might feel anxious, depressed or traumatized about it. So take care of your mental health, make sure to meditate and do things that you like to keep yourself positive.
