From wearable devices, technology, physical fitness and food and beverages; health and nutrition has been the focus for a number of industries catering to this growing need in the market. With evolving lifestyles that demand more of our bodies with each passing day, staying in shape, being fit and eating healthy has never been more important. There have been a massive focus on health and fitness, with consumers placing extra emphasis on making healthier choices.  

The 4th Edition of NutriThink Conference was organized by the UBM India Pvt Ltd. The two days conference was designed in such a manner to benefit the health conscious common public. The discussion was on the nutrition and health trends, changing the regulatory framework for the industry, blooming of pre-biotic & probiotic foods, understanding and exploring epigenetics & nutrigenomics,  fortification of foods, explained Shri Ranjith Paul, Group Director- Conference & BI Informa Markets in India.  

With a lamp lighting ceremony by Dr. Prabodh Shirish Halde, Head Regulatory, Marico Ltd., Dr. Vivek Srivastav, Director - Development Centre Enteral Nutrition, NESEA, BUEN, Pharmaceuticals & Devices Division, Fresenius Kabi, Mr. Vikram Kelkar, Managing Director, Hexagon Nutrition, Mr. Narendra Avhad, Assistant General Manager - Quality Assurance, Food safety, Compliance, Haldiram Snacks Pvt.Ltd. and Mr. Sarfaraz Ali, Senior Manager Operations | Conferences, Business Intelligence & Training, Informa Markets in India, the conference started.

The sessions on Day 2 of 4th Edition NutriThink Conference with a keynote address by Dr. Prabodh Shirish Halde, Head Regulatory, Marico Ltd. on "Changing Indian Regulatory Framework – FSSAI Perspective". An interesting session on "Dietary Fibers & Prebiotics" by Mr. Davender Singh Ahlawat, Business Development Head, ZEON LIFESCIENCES is worth mentioning. Dr. Seema Puri, Associate Professor - Department of Nutrition, Institute of Home Economics, University of Delhi shared insights on "Nutraceuticals: The Means for Eliminating Deficiency". 

The conference concluded with insightful sessions & discussions on cutting edge technologies, changing regulatory framework for the industry, evolving Indian consumer & it’s impact on food trends, blooming of prebiotic & probiotic foods, understanding & exploring epigenetics & nutrigenomics and deeper insights on the nutritional aspects of all types’ foods.
