Cyclone Biparjoy can be seen intensifying as a severe storm near the southern part of the country. Karnataka coast and Bengaluru would be expecting heavy showers and strong winds sometime soon, according to the latest update released by India Meteorological Department (IMD).
While Cyclone Biparjoy has almost reached the southern coastline of India, Kerala might see rains on Friday.
As Cyclone Biparjoy passes this part of the country, rains, and strong winds will keep affecting areas like Kerala, Karnataka, and Goa till June 12, said the IMD.
Cyclone Biparjoy Repercussions
According to an English daily, the Karnataka government is bracing up itself ahead of facing the wrath of cyclone Biparjoy.
Also, guidelines have been issued for fishermen residing near the Arabian Sea.
Tamil Nadu on the contrary has issued a heatwave warning for some regions in the state, including Puducherry and Karaikal due to cyclone Biparjoy.
Chennai will receive light showers for at least two days.
