In India, 70% of the population is associated with the Agriculture Sector. Moreover, 51% of the total area in the country is cultivated. This means agriculture is done on half of the land of the country. As most of the people in rural areas are involved in agriculture activities hence the government has been making continuous efforts to help them.
Farm machinery plays an important role in agriculture & horticulture but to increase production & reduce costs, many schemes are being run for the farmers by the Central & State Government. Agricultural machinery is provided to the farmers on subsidy (grant). The objective of the government behind providing agricultural machinery on subsidy is to help small-scale farmers & double their income along with increasing crop production. The harvesting of Kharif crops is going to start from 15th September.
In such a situation, farmers will need agricultural machinery for harvesting the crop. On behalf of the Agriculture Department of Madhya Pradesh, many types of agricultural machines are being made available on subsidy to the farmers of the state for harvesting, threshing & crop residue management.

Farmers will get subsidy on these Agricultural Machines
Keeping in mind the harvesting of Kharif crops, the Madhya Pradesh government is providing harvesting-related agricultural machinery on subsidy for the farmers of the state. Farmers can apply for these agricultural machines and these are: Automatic Reaper / Reaper Multicrop Thresher / Axial Flow Paddy Thresher Power Sprayer / Boom Sprayer (Tractor Driven) Winnowing Fan (Tractor / Motor Operated).
Subsidy on Agricultural Machinery
In Madhya Pradesh, under the different schemes, there is a provision to give different subsidies on agricultural machines according to the category of farmers, which is up to 50%. Farmers who want to take the agricultural machinery can see the information about subsidy, they will get according to the cost of agricultural machinery on the subsidy calculator available on the Kisan Portal.
Documents required for Agricultural Machinery
Farmers will have to apply online for subsidy on the above-mentioned Agricultural Machines. Farmers must have some important documents for the application. They are as follows:

Aadhar card copy of the applicant farmer.

Copy of the first page of the applicant's bank passbook.

Caste certificate issued by the competent authority (only for SC & ST farmers)

Copy of B-1.

Farmer's registered mobile number.

For a tractor driven agricultural machines, it is important for the farmers to have a tractor already. So that the benefit of subsidy will be provided to the farmers on these agricultural machines.

How to apply for subsidy on Agricultural Machinery
Applications have been started for the above-mentioned Agricultural Machines. Farmers of all the districts of state can apply from 4th September 2021 to 13th September 2021.
Agricultural machines are given to the farmers in the state according to the lottery system. Therefore, the farmers who apply for agricultural machines in the meantime will be selected through the lottery, whose list will be released on 14th September 2021.
