
The Madhya Pradesh government has launched a special subsidy scheme on agricultural equipment to promote modern farming practices and reduce the workload of farmers. Under the scheme, farmers can avail up to 50% subsidy on eight essential machines, including rotavators, power tillers, threshers, seed drills, and more. The deadline for online applications has been extended to April 16, 2025, and beneficiaries will be selected through a lottery system on April 17, 2025. The initiative aims to make farmers more self-reliant, reduce dependence on traditional farming methods, and enhance crop productivity.
The Madhya Pradesh state government has introduced a new scheme to support farmers by offering financial assistance for the purchase of modern agricultural equipment. The initiative is designed to help farmers transition from traditional tools to advanced machinery that saves time, reduces manual labor, and enhances productivity.
Under the scheme, eight major types of agricultural machines have been included, with eligible farmers entitled to receive up to 50% subsidy. The equipment covered includes rotavators, power tillers, super seeders, mulchers, sprayers, threshers, seed drills, and reapers, among others.

Who Can Apply?
To benefit from the scheme, farmers must meet the following eligibility conditions:
- The farmer must own a tractor in their name.
- They should not have received any subsidy under this scheme in the past 5 years.
- All required documents must be uploaded to the portal within 7 days of applying.
- If the application is rejected once, the farmer cannot reapply for the next 6 months.
- The equipment must be purchased only from the dealer selected on the portal. This dealer cannot be changed.
- Payment must be made through bank draft, cheque, or online banking—cash is not allowed.
- The demand draft should be made in the name of the Assistant Agriculture Engineer of the respective district.
Documents Required
Farmers will need to upload the following documents online:
- Aadhaar card copy
- First page of bank passbook
- Caste certificate (for SC/ST categories)
- Copy of B-1 (land ownership document such as Khasra/Khatauni)
- Electricity connection certificate (only for irrigation-related equipment)
The purchase approval will only be given after document verification by the district officer.
Step-by-Step Process to Apply
- Online Application: Visit the E-Krishi Yantra Anudan Portal and apply before April 16, 2025.
- Lottery Selection: A computerized draw will be held on April 17, 2025 to select beneficiaries.
- Dealer Selection: Selected farmers must choose a government-approved dealer from the same portal.
- Purchase Equipment: The machine must be purchased within 20 days of receiving the purchase approval order.
- Verification: Department officials will verify the equipment within 7 days after delivery and submission of documents.
Subsidy Transfer: After successful verification, the subsidy amount will be directly credited to the farmer’s bank account.
This scheme will especially benefit small and marginal farmers who cannot afford high-tech equipment. With government support, they can now access modern machines that can improve their efficiency and income. It’s a move towards self-reliance and smart farming in Madhya Pradesh.
