The Farm Equipment Sector (FES) of Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., a division within the Mahindra Group, has disclosed its tractor sales figures for September 2023. Domestic sales amounted to 42,034 units in September 2023, compared to 47,100 units in September 2022.

The total tractor sales, which include both domestic and exports, for September 2023 reached 43,210 units, a decrease from the 48,713 units sold during the same period last year. Exports for the month accounted for 1,176 units.

Hemant Sikka, President of the Farm Equipment Sector at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., commented on the performance, stating, "We achieved sales of 42,034 tractors in the domestic market in September 2023. A smart recovery in Kharif sowing, covering over 110 million hectares, and the onset of festive enthusiasm are expected to boost farmers' confidence. September's regular rainfall has contributed to near-normal monsoon levels, which will facilitate Rabi sowing, particularly in the country's Central, Northern, and Western regions. In the international market, we have sold 1,176 tractors."
