Agriculture Machinery Subsidies & Documents Required to Avail It

A farmer can easily increase productivity and double his income if he has a good agriculture machine or equipment. But the sad thing is that he is not able to purchase it due to its high cost. Therefore to help farmers buy such Agri machinery, centers, as well as State Governments, provide subsidies. Below we have given a state-wise list of subsidies available on various agriculture machinery.

Therefore to help farmers buy such Agri machinery, centers, as well as State Governments, provide subsidies. Below we have given a state-wise list of subsidies available on various agriculture machinery.  

Agri Machinery Subsidies in Tamil Nadu

Tamil Nadu offers the assistance under Agricultural Mechanization Program. Accordingly, it aids in purchasing a variety of machines namely, Paddy Trans-planter, Seed Drill, Fertilizer Drill, Zero Till Seed, Power Tiller, Power Sprayer & Bund Former. It also assists to buy the machines that are operated by tractors- Power Weeder, Brushcutter & Straw Baler. It also provides 40% & 50% subsidies in general and SC or ST farmers respectively. The farmers are given the option to select machinery of their choice and accordingly, the government allows Rs.30.75 lakhs for supporting the initiative.

Agri Machinery Subsidies in Kerala

The government of Kerala has taken up a step forward by the addition of a software-Farm Mechanization System (FMS) to ensure transparency in distribution. For the tractors, they provide a 25% subsidy. However in other cases for the rotator, tiller & other few machines only loans are available. Also, the repayment is within 5 to 10 years excluding the gestation period.

Yantra Laxmi Scheme in Telangana

The Yantra Laxmi Scheme is available in Telangana and offers a 50% subsidiary for buying a tractor. Being under the Farm Mechanization Scheme aids the purchasing of other farm equipment. Additionally, it provides a 100% subsidiary to SC & ST. A loan is available from the State Bank of India (SBI) if the applicant is an eligible bachelor with insurance & collateral security. The agricultural loan can be short-term or long-term along with the 12% interest per annum. Nevertheless, this subsidy holds good for purchasing the rotators, Power Weeders, Mini Tractor& Trans-planters.

Agri Machinery Subsidies in Karnataka 

The state government of Karnataka has 3 visions regarding the farm sector. The first one is to maintain the timeliness, the second is to increase productivity & the third is to reduce human labor. Thus, the farmers can easily achieve the goal by inculcating the mechanization of farming. 

Addressing the vision as well as solution, it is clearly speculated that the plan of a government is about providing all necessary machines on a rental basis. Also, this would be under the scheme, “Uber for Agriculture Services” along with an initial investment of Rs 87.5 crore to set up the idea. The center in association with the automobile makers (John Deere, VST Tillers, and Mahindra) helps the farmers on a rental basis. Besides the loans are also available at the same interest rate as the Agricultural Term Loans with up to 9 years of repayment time.

Agri Machinery Subsidies in Andhra Pradesh 

The distribution of tractors was under the scheme, Rythu Radham.  It is necessary to be eligible, which is must own at least 1 acre of land should not own a tractor & must have all the supporting documents. The loans are available from the ICICI Bank along with the repayment deadline of 5 years.

The scheme for buying tractors in Uttar Pradesh is “Krishi Yantra”. Consequently, it provides 25% of cost aid or Rs 45,000 anything which is less. The tractor loans are provided by the Pratham Bank in association with Swaraj, Sonalika & Mahindra.

Under Farm Mechanization Scheme, the center has been encouraged to inculcate the use of modern machinery & techniques. In the case of a small, marginal & SC, or ST Farmer, it provides a 35% subsidy for other machines. Contrarily, the general category only gets 25% for a tractor & 40% for other machines. It assists in the purchase of tractors, harvesters, threshers, power tillers, vehicles & other agricultural implants. Additionally, the facility Term Loans are offered with the repayment of 5 to 9 years. Also, no margin for loans under Rs 1lakh.  

Agri Machinery Subsidies in Madhya Pradesh 

The government of Madhya Pradesh offers a subsidy for the small tractors through Macro-Management Scheme. Subsequently, this scheme is in association with State & the Union government. All the farmers are eligible to get benefit from the scheme. Also, this scheme is very successful as the availability of a tractor is low in MP and the loans are also available further to help the cultivator.

Haryana & Rajasthan both work under the Farm Mechanization Scheme. It provides loans via Sarva Haryana Bank & AU Bank. Despite this, it encourages the use of modern techniques to increase production. Subsequently, the terms in this scheme follow the rest discussed above.

Agri Machinery Subsidies in Odisha

In Odisha, the capital investment & Farm Mechanization Schemes are prominent. It provides a 50% subsidy for the tillers & 40% for the tractors. Besides, the Odisha Gramya Bank offers hassle-free loans to buy any agro-vehicle that aids the cultivators. Consequently, it offers 85% of the cost & other machines with a margin of just 15% of the total cost.

In conclusion, the government is putting their 100% effort to ease farmer’s life. Ranging from Raw Material Procurement to Complex Marketing & Infrastructure, the Centre is trying to provide subsidies for all machines. These Agri Machinery are very easy to avail & it will definitely help in making their life even simpler and as a result, it would be very helpful in improving the Indian Economy.
