It is highly encouraging to note that the performance of the Indian chemical industry in the various categories has been improving continuously from year to year and therefore the Council expects large number of nominations from the industry for ICC Awards for the year 2020.

Participation is open to any industrial unit engaged in operation of Refinery; Petrochemicals; Fertilizers; Inorganic & Organic chemicals; Specialty chemicals; Pharma / Biotech; Agrochemicals; Man-made Fibres; Soaps & Detergents; Paints & Pigments; Dyes & Dye Intermediates; logistics & warehousing; service providers, both in Public and Private Sector.
Due to Pandemic situation, ICC Awards for the year 2019 were presented to the winners virtually on 25 September 2020. The function was attended by a galaxy of guests including captains of industry, academia, research institutions, and senior officials of Government Departments apart from other invited dignitaries.
The then Secretary, Department of Chemicals & Petrochemicals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Government of India, Mr. Rajesh Kumar Chaturvedi was the Chief Guest and Mr. Purnendu Chatterjee, Founder & Chairman, The Chatterjee Group was the Guest of Honour.
ICC Awards for the year 2019 were presented to winners in different categories besides I.C.C. D. M. TRIVEDI LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD FOR CONTRIBUTION TO INDIAN CHEMICAL INDUSTRY for Management of Industry were presented to Mr. Prasad Menon, Former Managing Director, Tata Chemicals Ltd & Tata Power and for Education & Research were presented to Dr Jhillu Singh Yadav, Former Director and Bhatnagar Fellow, CSIRIICT Hyderabad, and Director and Trustee Indrashil University, Mehsana, Gujarat. I.C.C. LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD was conferred on Mr. Yogesh Kothari, Chairman and Managing Director, Alkyl Amines Chemicals Ltd.

Nomination Forms for the Awards
The nomination, clearly mentioning the category under which nomination is sent, together with enclosures thereto, if any, should be submitted in Soft Copies i.e. via e-mail to ICC Mumbai id ([email protected])
Along with the nominations also submit one page financial result for company for last 3 years (2018-19, 2019-20 and 2020-21). This is for facilitating process of scrutiny even before company’s results are announced.
Applicants are expected to give relevant information as per the requirement prescribed only. Sketchy information will result into disqualification which may please be noted.
Nominations should be sent strictly in the prescribed format as per rules & regulations governing ICC Awards.
Applicant should give Executive Summary with following criterion:
500 words summary justifying for the Award applied which can be accompanied by 4-5 illustrations which can be graphics or pictorial
Justification should include key achievements specific to Award, benchmark carried out if any, investments made, etc.
Awards Function:
The Awards will be presented at the time of the Annual General Meeting of the ICC or at any special function which the Council may organise for this purpose (virtually or physically depending upon pandemic situation).
The recipient organisation will be invited to nominate a representative to receive the Award.
Award winning Companies may put up for display some visual presentation pertaining to award winning activity.
Award winning companies will also be encouraged to submit / present papers in CHEMICAL NEWS - official journal of ICC and seminars arranged by the Council.
ICC will bring out special supplement in leading daily financial paper. In this supplement write-up about companies’ achievement will be highlighted for which ICC has given the Award including Citation, Photograph, etc.

Entry charges for sending nominations is Rs. 15,000/- + 18% GST for each nomination.
In case of site specific awards (ICC AWARD FOR EXCELLENCE IN MANAGEMENT OF HEALTH & SAFETY; ICC AWARD FOR EXCELLENCE IN MANAGEMENT OF ENVIRONMENT; ICC AWARD FOR EXCELLENCE IN ENERGY CONSERVATION AND MANAGEMENT), if a company applies for more than one site then different nomination charges will be applied for different sites.
