This digital mission has pushed the government to launch several Android apps in order to reach out to the grassroots level with information and knowledge about farming practices, policies, and techniques.
These Android apps aim to provide information on all the latest agricultural updates, new farm equipment technologies, and methods that must be practiced for increased output. Android Apps Exclusively For Farmers
Below we have mentioned a few mobile apps that farmers must use to increase their income;
Kisan Suvidha
The Department of Agriculture and Cooperation created this app. Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Ministry as the name implies, the Kisan Suvidha app aims to assist farms by giving pertinent information ranging from weather, dealers, market price, and more.
Pusa Krishi
The Pusa Krishi app seeks to assist farmers in finding easy solutions to agricultural field concerns as well as weather information, various types of crops and measures regarding the same.
MKisan Application
For farmers and other stakeholders, the MKisan application compiles all of the information and advisories shared by experts and government authorities.
The app's biggest feature is that it allows Central and State government bodies in agriculture and related industries to exchange information with farmers in their native language via SMS.
Shetkari Masik App
Without the need of internet connectivity, the Shetkari Masik Android App provides a popular monthly magazine in the Agriculture sector published by the Department of Agriculture, Maharashtra. It covers various topics such as new crop technologies, pest and disease management, organic farming, farming methods, irrigation methods, and more.
Farm-o-pedia App
This app caters to a niche audience in rural Gujarat. It is beneficial for farmers or anybody interested in farming to be aware of the best crops for their soil type, seasons, and other factors.
Crop Insurance App
Not only are there applications to assist farmers in calculating insurance premiums, but there are also apps to assist farmers in calculating insurance premiums. It provides data by calculating the insurance value for the notified crops based on farm field area, coverage amount, and loan amount.
AgriMarket App
This mobile app assists farmers in obtaining the market price of their products within 50 km. The AgriMarket app uses GPS to track the farmer's location and so delivers precise information about the nearest place to sell their crops in the market. Farmers may, however, use the app to obtain market pricing information without using GPS.
