Bhagvanji Rupapara was inspired to design a new device for his feathered friends. Bhagvanji, a Gujarati, spent Rs 20 lakh to construct this 140-foot-long, 70-foot-wide, and 40-foot-high birdhouse, or bird home. He used his own money and land to construct a large birdhouse. It was built to provide a safe shelter for birds and to protect them from the weather.
Over 2,500 earthen pots custom-made for this purpose were utilized to build the riverside dwelling.
Bhagavanji also ensures that trespassers do not hurt the birds. He is a nature lover who thinks that all living things should be represented equally. In addition to offering shelter, the 75-year-old also feeds and waters the birds.
