Madhavan
If you thought that you like this actor for his good looks & charming on-screen presence, then here’s another reason to be in awe of him. He loves gardening. Apart from being a vegetarian, the actor enjoys eating a healthy diet that consists of fresh vegetables from his very own terrace garden. He is a strong believer in Hydroponics – A method of growing plants without using soil.
He recently bought a barren piece of land & turned it into a lush green coconut farm. It nearly took 5 years of hard work to rejuvenate the soil using organic, modern & ancient indigenous methods of agriculture & the end result is wonderful.
Prakash Raj
We all know how immensely talented this actor is. Apart from making his presence felt in south cinema, he is quite popular in Bollywood as well. But, did you know that the actor is interested in farming/gardening as well?
He has bought a few acres of land about a decade ago to plant the trees. In the past few years, he has been growing grains & vegetables here. “I have become more handsome, patient & peaceful after taking up farming,” says Prakash Raj during an interview.
Mammootty
This actor believes in eating fresh & healthy foods. So much that he takes to the farming & updates about the latest development in that field. A company that is owned by Mammootty has coffee, cardamom & pepper plantations near Munnar, which are farmed in a completely natural manner (Not organic).
Mammootty has a property in Kakkanad, where fruits & vegetables are grown in the same manner. His paddy field near Cheepungal at Kumarakom is also popular.
Pawan Kalyan
He is the most influential actor of Telugu Cinema, juggling between acting& his political career. He is also said to be a self-taught farmer. He grows mangoes, tomatoes & other vegetables on his farm.
It is also reported that the actor likes to work on everything by him, including ploughing the land. It is learned that the actor uses renowned agriculturalist Subash Palekar’s zero-budget spiritual farming techniques.
Kunchacko Boban
He is one of the newest entrants in the field & admits organic farming has interested him. Kunchacko Boban has a farm in Aluva & is also into terrace farming.
