The University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad, was founded in the year 1986. UAS Dharwad is accredited by the UGC and provides UG, PG, and diploma programs to students in Marketing Management, Engineering, and several other disciplines through five colleges, 30 research stations, and six extension education units. Seven districts in northern Karnataka are within the purview of the University of Agricultural Sciences Dharwad: Belgaum, Bagalkot, Bijapur, Gadag, Dharwad, Haveri, and Uttar Kannada. Fellowships and scholarships are available at UAS Dharwad from a variety of non-profit, governmental, and private organizations. 2. University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore

In 1963, the University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore, was established as a standalone institution. On August 21, 1964, Dr. Zakir Hussain, India's vice president, officially inaugurated the UAS in the presence of Sri S. Nijalingappa, the country's then chief minister, and Chester Bowles, the US ambassador at the time. On July 12, 1969, Smt. Indira Gandhi, the country's prime minister at the time, opened the GKVK campus. 3. University of Agricultural and Horticultural Sciences (UAHS) 

In 2012, a state university called the University of Agricultural and Horticultural Sciences (UAHS) was founded. It was created in accordance with the 2012 Karnataka Act No. 38. The institution wants to create skilled laborers in the horticulture, agricultural, and forestry industries. ICAR is linked with the university. The institution provides a B.Sc. in Agriculture, Horticulture, and Forestry as well as a Ph.D. in Agriculture, a Diploma in Agriculture, and M.Sc. programs in a variety of specialties. Diploma holders can apply for lateral entry admission into the University's B.Sc. degree programs.

4. University of Horticultural Science, Bagalkot

The Institution of Horticulture Sciences (UHS) in Bagalkot is the third university in India to provide undergraduate, graduate, doctoral, and diploma programs in horticulture science. These courses need entrance exams for enrolment.

5. College of Agriculture Hassan
