Kadaknath and Jabalpur Colour: Bridging Traditions
The genesis of 'Narmada Nidhi' lies in the fusion of two distinct breeds - the native Kadaknath and the innovative Jabalpur Colour. The Kadaknath breed, deeply rooted in the tribal enclaves of Jhabua and Alirajpur districts, contributes 25% of the genetic heritage. Renowned for its resilience and local adaptation, Kadaknath chickens have been an intrinsic part of the region's agricultural fabric for generations. On the other hand, the 'Jabalpur Colour' breed, an achievement of the Jabalpur University, adds the remaining 75% of the genetic makeup.
