Godhan Nyay Yojana is a state government scheme to benefit the dairy farmers of Chhattisgarh. State Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel launched this scheme on 20 July 2020.
Under Mukhyamantri Godhan Nyay Yojana, the government will buy cow dung from cattle rearing farmers. Under this scheme, the government will use the dung purchased from cattle rearers to make manure.
Dung will be bought at the rate of Rs 2/Kg
This is a novel initiative started by Chhattisgarh Government. Till now the government has bought 50 lakh tonnes of cow dung from farmers and cowsheds. Farmers wishing to take benefit of the scheme will have to first apply under the Chhattisgarh Godhan Nyay Scheme. Farmers must read the eligibility of this scheme before applying.

According to statistics in Chhattisgarh, about 6 lakh quintals of manure is produced from Gauthans. In view of this important contribution of Gauthans, the Chief Minister of the state Bhupesh Baghel has decided that Gauthan will be developed as a rural industrial park.
After developing these Gauthans in Rural Industrial Parks, there will be an increase in the production of manure. With this, if there will be other economic activities in Gauthans, then their turnover will increase. Citizens living in rural areas will also get employment opportunities through Gothan.
