Dr. Gurjot Kaur Mavi, Scientist, Directorate of Livestock Farms was honoured with Prof. Suresh S. Honnappagol- National Young Scientist Award for the best paper presentation on “Effects of α-tocopherol addition in dog semen on sperm quality during in vitro storage.”
It was presented by Prof. Satish Kumar Garg, Vice-Chancellor of the Rajasthan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Bikaner. She got the award at XVIII Annual Convention of Indian Society for Advancement of Canine Practice & National Symposium on ‘Newer Concepts and Approaches in Small Animal Practice and Welfare’ organized by the Department of Veterinary Medicine, College of Veterinary and Animal Science, Navania, at Udaipur, Rajasthan.
The conference was attended by more than 250 delegates from various National institutes and leading universities of the country.
Total of 10 technical sessions was organized on important aspects like Canine Medicine, Canine Surgery, Canine Reproduction, and Breeding, etc during the conference where oral and poster presentations were held apart from lead papers.
She achieved the award in Canine Reproduction & Breeding Session. Dr. J.P.S. Gill, Director of Research, GADVASU congratulated her for their research excellence and recognition in the national conference. Dr. Inderjeet Singh, Vice-Chancellor GADVASU applauded and appreciated the efforts.
