Palakkad ready for dairy revolution Milk incentives, fodder distribution, milch cows distribution, elevated cattle manure assistance and dairy unit funding will be implemented in the first phase with the help of local bodies.
Incentive
The district panchayat would provide Rs 1 crore and 83 panchayats Rs 6.82 crore to provide incentives to small and medium farmers. The incentive is Rs 3 per 1 litre. 28,000 farmers will benefit from it.
Expansion of fodder farming
Due to the increase in fodder prices and the shortage of summer greenhouses, 100 people have been funded with fodder cultivation with the aim of avoiding cattle breeding and increasing production.
Distribution of milch cows
209 milch cows will be distributed in seven blocks. Priority for women and young people. The goal of achieving self-sufficiency in milk production is by supplying more cows. There are more dairy farmers in the East.
Feed-in the wind
3000 farmers in 7 Panchayats will be provided with the wind farms and 8000 subscribers through block 8. 7000 panchayats in 3000 farmers will be funded to produce cattle feed.
8000 through eight-block for Subsidy
There are 325 dairy co-operative societies in Palakkad district. 75% of the gangs and office buildings have extra space. Many have been lying idle for years. Palakkad is having success in farming under this program. The district began work before the project was announced. Vegetable farming began on Earth Day on April 22. The largest area in the state is the Milky Way Dairy Co-operative Society. The group owns 32 acres. Of these, 2.5 acres were cultivated with vegetables and 100 crops were harvested. Fodder is also cultivated on 10 acres. Turmeric and onions were harvested. Deputy Director of the Dairy Development Department, Jayasujeesh, said the Moolathara Dairy Co-operatives operated at 83 cents for vegetables and fish farming.
