Good fertile soil is the most important factor for successful cultivation. Many elements that make the soil fertile have disappeared now. The most important of these is magnesium sulfate. Magnesium is an essential element for all crops. It is essential to give it at the stage of plant growth itself. This element is also needed for cell wall construction, and if the cell wall is not strong enough, it will be enough to repel pests, stem borer and nematode worms from your garden. Not only this, this 'salt' has the unique ability to cure the yellowing of the leaves and to produce flowers and fruits well.
Why put Epsom Salt on Plants?
Lack of nutrients can cause various diseases in vegetables. Nitrogen, Phosphorus and Potassium, which are the primary elements, are essential for plant growth. Nitrogen accelerates plant growth. Phosphorus helps in proper growth of roots. Potassium is also essential for the plant to have full flowers. The secondary elements are just as important as the primary elements. The most important of these elements is magnesium. We use Epsom salt to treat magnesium deficiency. As soon as you fill the grow bag, add half a teaspoon of Epsom salt to the porting mixture. It is good for plant health. Similarly, when transplanting seedlings, immersion of Epsom salt in distilled water will accelerate the growth of the plant. We can get rid of various pests by mixing one teaspoon of Epsom salt in a litre of water and spraying the whole plant or pouring it on the bottom.
An effective way to protect your plants from slug and snail damage should definitely use above method. Putting a teaspoon of magnesium sulphate on the bottom of the vegetable plant will give large size of flowers and fruits. There is nothing better than this to cure yellowing and curling of the leaves. Mixing 8 gram of magnesium sulphate in one litre of water and spraying on the leaves is beneficial for the healthy growth of the plant. Magnesium Sulphate should be added 50 gm to the banana and 500 gm to the coconut twice.
Magnesium sulphate should be used at least once a month to avoid leaves turning yellow color and curling found in tomatoes, aubergines, chillies, etc. It can also be used to get good sized roses. It’s a good idea to have your soil tested to determine whether it is deficient of magnesium before applying Epsom salt.
