Below mentioned advisories allotted by the government can be followed by farmers for crop cultivation and animal husbandry purposes for good productivity and reduced loss. These guidelines can be followed till 18th May 2022. The advisories will be further updated by the government. So, do follow Krishi Jagran to keep up with these guidelines in the future.
General Advisory
Farmers are advised to harvest mature wheat and other mature crops. Avoid spraying during rainy days and gusty winds. Use anti-hail net in fruit orchards and vegetable crops.

Soil sample should be taken from 10-15 different places in this month from fallow field after harvesting of rabi crops. Soil sample should be taken up to the depth of 20 cm.

Farmers are also advised to protect vegetables and orchards against gusty winds by physical barrier.
Crop Specific Advisory
Apple: Use anti hail net. Spray 100 gm carbendazim or Mancozeb in 200 Liter of water after the hail.
Sugarcane: Spray phenthoate 50EC @ 1 liter/ha or 750 ml monocrotofos 36 SL or 2 liters quinalphos 25 EC in 500 liters of water if black bug appears in the sugarcane crop.
Rice: In mid hills, paddy nursery should be prepared for transplanting under irrigated conditions in the first fortnight of the month.
Chilli: Infected plants (contracted piebald leaves) should be removed and killed to control viral diseases in the chilli crop. Sarvangi pesticide should be used to prevent the juice sucking insect in these crops (when shrunken speckled leaves are seen). Spraying a solution of Mancozeb @ 2.5g/liter or copper oxichloride @ 3g/lit of water on the crop to protect it against blight disease is recommended.
Tomato: Remove and destroy infected plants (when shrunken speckled leaves are visible) to prevent viral diseases in tomato crops. Sarvangi pesticide should be used to combat the juice sucking insect in these crops. Spraying a solution of Mancozeb @ 2.5g/liter or copper oxichloride @ 3g/lit of water on the crop to protect it against blight disease is recommended.
Live Stock Specific Advisory
Cow:

Deworming should be done before FMD vaccination.

Give 50 grams iodized salt and 50 to 100 grams mineral mix daily, along with animal feed/green fodder, to maintain the cattle healthy.

To sustain the productivity of foreign cows and protect them from infections, the temperature of the animal shed should be maintained using cooling equipment such as fans, coolers, or the most recent cooling device.
Buffalo:

During the summer, melathiyan or another insecticide should be sprayed in the drains around the livestock shed on a regular basis.

Due attention should be given to arrangements for provision of water to animals.

If symptoms of mastitis are seen in dairy cattle, treat it immediately.
