The Central Government is running many schemes for the farmers with the aim to make their lives better and secured. One of those schemes is Pradhan Mantri Kisan Maan Dhan Yojana. Farmers between the age of 18 to 40 years can avail the benefits of this scheme.
Under this scheme, farmers need to give contributions ranging from Rs. 55 to 200 every month. And after the age of 60 years, they will get a pension of Rs. 3000 per month.
The management of giving pension is handed over to the Life Insurance Corporation of India.
Basic Requirements of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Maan Dhan Yojana
This scheme is only for farmers. Farmers between 18 to 40 years of age can avail the benefits of this scheme. If you are 18 years old, you can register for this, then you will have to pay Rs. 55 per month. And if you are 40 years old, then you will have to contribute Rs. 200 per month. Lower the age, lower the contribution. The contribution of the farmer in the Prime Minister Kisan Maan Dhan Yojana will be equal to the contribution made by the government in the account of the farmer.
One more requirement to avail the benefit of this scheme is that there should be cultivable land in the name of the farmer.
After the age of 60 years, every farmer who would have registered for this will get a pension of Rs. 3000 per month, i.e., Rs. 36,000 annually.
How to Register for Pradhan Mantri Kisan Maan Dhan Yojana?
Farmers can register at Common Service Center, and they will have to carry important documents including Aadhar Card, bank passbook, 2 photos, and farm documents. Kisan Pension Unique Number and Pension card will be generated after registration.
If you want to get out of the scheme after depositing some installments, then too your money is safe. The deposited money will get interest equal to that of the savings account.
