On April 18, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will embark on a three-day visit to Gujarat, where he will announce a number of development projects. In Jamnagar, Prime Minister Modi will lay the foundation stone for the WHO Global Centre for Traditional Medicine (GCTM).
According to ANI, he will attend the Adijati Maha Sammelan in Dahod, where he would inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for different development projects totaling Rs 22,000 crore.
In the presence of his Mauritius counterpart Pravind Kumar Jugnauth and World Health Organization (WHO) Director General Dr. Tedros Ghebreyesus, Prime Minister Modi will lay the foundation stone of the WHO Global Centre for Traditional Medicine (GCTM) in Jamnagar on April 19.
GCTM will become a worldwide centre of global wellness as the world's first and only global outpost centre for traditional medicine.
In Gandhinagar, Prime Minister Modi will open the Global AYUSH Investment and Innovation Summit and showcase a number of development initiatives in Banaskantha.
On April 18, he will pay a visit to Gandhinagar's Command and Control Centre for Schools.
The Prime Minister's Office (PMO) stated in a statement that the Centre collects over 500 crore data sets each year and analyses them meaningfully using big data analytics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning to improve overall learning results for students.
"The World Bank has designated the Command and Control Centre for Schools as a best practice and has asked other nations to come and learn about it," according to the release.
On April 19, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will dedicate to the country a new dairy complex and potato processing factory in Diyodar, Banaskantha district, which cost over Rs 600 crores.
The new dairy complex, which is a greenfield project, would process 30 lakh litres of milk daily and create 80 tonnes of butter, one lakh litres of ice cream, 20 tonnes of condensed milk (khoya), and six tonnes of chocolate.
The potato processing facility will manufacture a variety of processed potato goods, including french fries, potato chips, 'aloo tikki,' patties, and other items, with many of them being exported to other nations.
These plants will empower local farmers while also boosting the region's rural economy.
On the same day, Prime Minister Modi will dedicate the Banas Community Radio Station to the country.
This community radio station, which was founded to offer farmers with important scientific information on agricultural and animal husbandry, is projected to reach out to around 5 lakh farmers in roughly 1,700 villages.
The enlarged facilities for the manufacture of cheese products and whey powder at the Banas dairy factory in Palanpur will be dedicated to the country by Prime Minister Modi.
In addition, he will dedicate the organic manure and biogas facility in Dama, Gujarat.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone for four 100-tonne gobar gas plants at Khimana, Ratanpura - Bhildi, Radhanpur, and Thawar.
On April 20, he will also open the Global AYUSH Investment and Innovation Summit, which will take place at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.
The three-day summit will witness five plenary sessions, eight roundtables, six workshops, and two symposiums, with the presence of around 90 eminent speakers and 100 exhibitors.
The summit will help uncover investment potential and give a fillip to innovation, research and development, start-up ecosystem and the wellness industry, the PMO release said, adding it will help bring together industry leaders, academicians and scholars together and act as a platform for future collaborations.
“PM Modi will attend the Adijati Maha Sammelan in Dahod on the same day at around 3:30 pm, where he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of various development projects worth around Rs 22,000 crore. The event is expected to witness participation of over 2 lakh people,” the release said.
Prime Minister Modi will lay the foundation stone for manufacturing of 9000 HP Electric Locomotives at the Production Unit in Dahod. The cost of the project is around Rs 20,000 crore.
Established in 1926 for periodic overhaul of steam locomotives, Dahod workshop will be upgraded to an electric locomotive manufacturing unit with infrastructure improvements and it will provide direct and indirect employment to over 10,000 people, the PMO release said.
According to the release, the Prime Minister will dedicate projects worth more than Rs 1400 crore.
"He will inaugurate the Rs 840 crore Dahod District Southern Area Regional Water Supply Scheme, which was built on the Narmada River Basin. It would deliver water to around 280 communities in Dahod District and Devgadh Baria city "It was also added.
Prime Minister Modi will also inaugurate five Dahod Smart City projects costing Rs 335 crore.
Integrated Command & Control Centre (ICCC) Building, Storm water drainage system, Sewerage works, Solid Waste Management System, and Rain Water Harvesting System are among the projects.
Prime Minister Modi will also inaugurate the 66 KV Ghodia substation, as well as Panchayat Houses and Anganwadis. He will also lay the foundation stone for a number of state government projects totaling roughly Rs 550 crore.
