Krishi Udan Scheme: This scheme was announced by Nirmala Sitharaman, our Finance Minister during the Budget announcement for 2020-21. Under Krishi UdanYojana, the crops of Indian farmers will be transported from one place to another through special airplanes. This will be done on, as quickly as possible basis, so that crops can reach markets on time. By this, farmers will get good income from their produce.
Finance Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman while presenting budget 2020-21, said that Krishi Udan scheme will get started on both national and international routes. This will be done with the help of Ministry of Civil Aviation. Under Krishi Udan Yojana, Central, State and Airport authorities will give subsidy on rates to some airlines.
What is Krishi Udan Scheme?
Krishi Udan Yojana focuses on transportation of milk, meat, fish, fruits etc. All the fruits, vegetables, crops that have shorter shelf lives will be transported through airplanes to markets as quickly as possible. This will be done to benefit & support farmers of our country so that they can earn good margins on their crops.
How to register under Krishi Udan Yojana?
The Govt. is looking to double farmer’s income through this. Through Krishi Udan scheme, farmers produce will not only transported throughout India but also to other countries internationally. All the farmers who want to be benefited with this scheme will have to register.

• First of all you have to go to official website of Ministry of Agriculture, a home page will open
• On this homepage, you will see an option of ‘Apply Online’. Click on that and the next page will open.
• Here, you will see a registration form. You will have to fill complete information asked here like Name, Aadhar number.
• After filling all the information, click on submit option. After this, your registration is submitted.
