PM Kisan Yojana: Government Takes Several Steps for Successful Implementation of PM Kisan in All States/UTs

Centre has launched Farmers’ Corner on the official website where farmers can themselves register, check their account status, edit Aadhaar details, and so on. Farmers can avail all of these facilities via Common Service Centres (CSCs) too.

Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Narendra Singh Tomar in a written reply in Lok Sabha on 30 March 2022 said that the PM-Kisan yojana is being successfully implemented in all States as well as UTs of the country.

He said that the benefits under Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana are transferred to the farmers through Direct Benefit Transfer Mode on receipt of their correct information from the respective States or Union Territories after clearing all verification/ validation levels.

Tomar said this is a continuous and ongoing process adding that the benefits of PM Kisan scheme are transferred in three equal installments every year to the beneficiaries.

The government has taken several steps for the successful implementation of PM Kisan yojana in all States or UTs of India, some of which are as follows:

  • Launching of PM-Kisan website for uploading of farmers’ data by respective State & UT Governments & first level verification thereof.

  • Integration of PM-kisan website with the UIDAI, PFMS, Income tax portal & Pensioners & Employee Record for validation or removing ineligible beneficiaries, and NTRP website for the refund of money by ineligible beneficiaries.

  • Launching of Farmers’ Corner on the official website where applicants can themselves register, check their account status, edit Aadhaar details, and so on. Farmers can avail all of these facilities via Common Service Centres (CSCs) too.

  • Introduction of PM Kisan mobile app to offer all functionalities of farmers’ corner of PM-KISAN portal on the mobile phone.

  • Implementation of various verification exercises such as physical verification, e-KYC etc. to ensure that benefits are given to eligible farmers only.

  • Launch of recovery mechanism to bring back money from ineligible beneficiaries of the scheme.

  • Conducting regular Video Conferences with States/UTs to resolve technical & policy issues, if any.

  • Creating a Project Monitoring Unit at the central level, i.e. National Farmers Welfare Program Implementation Society for smooth execution of PM-Kisan yojana.

  • Developing special interventions wherever required, like in Jharkhand, Nagaland, Manipur, and Meghalaya.
