There is a wave of happiness among Indian farmers, after the budget announcement of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana was made. The government of India under the leader ship of PM Modi announced about this scheme in Budget 2019-20.
PM-Kisan Scheme
PM-Kisan Scheme is an initiative of the Government of India wherein 120 million small and marginal farmers with less than two hectares (4.9 acres) of landholding will receive up to Rs. 6,000 per year as minimum income support. The scheme has become operational from 1st December 2018. Under this scheme, famer will get Rs. 6000 in three installments. Those who are eligible under Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana Beneficiary list will find their name.

Important Points of the Scheme:

PM Narendra Modi inaugurated the scheme on 24 Feb 2019 under which first installment money of Rs 2000 was transferred to a few farmers.

PM Kisan Yojana scheme is only for small and marginal farmers for helping in financial condition for purchase of seed, fertilizers etc.

It will provide benefits to 12 crore farmers.

6000 Rs will be paid yearly in 3 installments of 2000.

Total budget is 75,000 crore rupees.

First installment of 2000 will be paid by 31st March 2019.

Money is to be distributed from March 2019 and last date to deposit the money in farmer account is 31st march. If by that date, the farmer does not receive it, complain and direct contact can be made to authorities.
What is the Eligibility of Pm-Kisan?
Eligibility Criteria of PM Kisan Yojana 2019:

Only small and marginal farmers are eligible for the scheme.

Small and marginal farmers are those who have cultivable land upto 2 hectare.

Any farmer who got the ownership of land after 1 Feb 2019 will not be eligible for scheme.

Farmers must have bank account so that money can be transferred directly
-
Tribal farmers who have right over agricultural land in forest area can also take benefit of the scheme.
Who are not eligible for scheme?
It must be noted that the following categories of beneficiaries of higher economic status will not be eligible for benefit under this scheme.
a)All Institutional Land holders.
b) Farmer families where one or more of its members are from the following categories

Former & present holders of constitutional posts

Former & present Ministers or State Ministers & former or present Members of LokSabha/ RajyaSabha or State Legislative Assemblies or former and present Chairpersons of District Panchayats or State Legislative Councils or former and present Mayors of Municipal Corporations.

All the serving / retired officers & employees of Central or State Government Ministries Departments & its field units Central or State PSEs & Attached offices.
-
All superannuated or retired pensioners whose monthly pension is Rs.10000 or above.

All who paid Income Tax (IT) in last assessment year
-
Professionals such as Doctors, Lawyers, Engineers, CA and Architects registered with Professional bodies.
