PM Kisan Mandhan Yojana: Modi Government is Giving Rs. 36000 annually to Farmers, over 20 lakh Registration done so far

Under PM Kisan Maan Dhan Yojana, government offers pension of Rs. 36000 per year to the farmers in their old age. The aim of the scheme is to provide social security to all landholding small & marginal farmers in India.

Pradhan Mantri Kisan Mandhan Yojana: Modi government is constantly trying to increase the income of farmers. For this, it has introduced many beneficial schemes (yojana) for the farmers. PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana and PM Kisan Manadhan Yojana are two such beneficial schemes that provide financial help to the farmers.

Today we will talk mainly about PM Kisan Maan Dhan Yojana. Under this scheme, government gives pension of Rs. 36000 per year to the farmers. Farmers who have registered for PM Kisan Maandhan Yojana as well as PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana will get Rs. 42000 yearly by the Central Government.

It is worth mentioning that so far, 2087123 farmers have registered for this pension scheme (as per official government website).

PM Kisan Maadhan Yojana was announced during the budget 2019 with the aim to provide social security to all landholding small & marginal farmers in the country. The scheme also aims to help farmers live a healthy & happy life after they reach their old age.

PM Kisan Maandhan Yojana: How much contribution has to be made?

Farmers will have to contribute an amount between Rs.55 to Rs.200 every month in the Pension Fund till they reach the retirement date (age of 60 years). The Central Government will also make an equal contribution of the same amount in the pension fund

Eligibility of PM Kisan Maandhan Yojana

  • Farmers who are of the age of 18 years and above & upto 40 years can join the scheme.

  • Spouses of farmers are also eligible to join the yojana separately and they will get separate pension of Rs.3000 when they reach the age of 60 years.

PM Kisan Mandhan Yojana Registration Process

  • The eligible farmers who want to join the scheme will have to visit nearest Common Service Centre (CSC) along with their bank passbook and Aadhaar number.

  • After that, on alternative facility of enrollment through PM-Kisan State Nodal, officials or by any other means or online enrollment would be made available.

  • It must be noted that enrollment under this pension scheme is free of cost and farmers will not have to pay at the CSC Centres.
