PM Kisan Latest Update! Government Identifies More Ineligible Farmers; Recovers Rs 1.7 crore

The Mandi administration has so far recovered around Rs 1.7 crore from ineligible farmers, while Rs 1.76 crore is still pending.

In the past few months, there have been several reports about ineligible people taking benefit of various government schemes including PM Kisan Yojana.

The latest report has come from Himachal Pradesh, where the Mandi administration is in the process of recovering PM Kisan money from ineligible farmers. Around 5,980 farmers registered under the Central government’s PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme were found ineligible.

According to official sources, the district administration has so far recovered around Rs 1.7 crore from these farmers, while Rs 1.76 crore is still pending.

During verification, it was observed that 5,980 farmers registered under Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana did not fulfil the required criteria to get financial assistance. It must be noted that there are certain parameters to cover farmers under the government scheme.

After recognizing the ineligible farmers in Mandi, now the administration is recovering money from them. Out of the total 5,980 ineligible beneficiaries, 2,081 farmers are taxpayers.

According to sources, there are 1,63,071 eligible farmers in Mandi who have registered for PM Kisan Samman Nidhi.

PM Kisan 12th Installment Update

As per various media reports, the next installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana will be released this month. Hence farmers must regularly check beneficiary status as well as beneficiary list to confirm if they will get Rs 2000 or not.

In order to check beneficiary status or list, just go to the official website of PM Kisan. Under farmers’ corner, you can easily check your account balance and application status.

About PM Kisan Scheme

Under PM Kisan scheme, the Centre provides financial assistance of Rs 6,000 per year to the farmers in three installments of Rs 2,000 each. The amount is directly transferred into farmers’ account once it is released by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The last installment was released on 31st May 2022.
