The government has once again extended the deadline to complete /update eKYC for the PM Kisan beneficiaries till 31st May 2022 but the OTP-based Aadhaar authentication is temporarily suspended. Now the farmers are worried as to how to complete the eKYC. Hence in this article, we will tell you how you can proceed with the task.
Earlier, the deadline to update eKYC was 31st March 2022, later it was extended to 22 May 2022 and now the last date is 31st May 2022. Due to some issues, the option to complete the eKYC at the PM portal is not available and the OTP-based Aadhaar authentication will also remain suspended for few days.
How to complete eKYC offline
In order to complete eKYC offline, farmers must visit the nearest common service center for biometric authentication. For updating KYC, farmers will have to share their mobile number, their Aadhaar number, bank account number, and IFSC/ MICR code. They can ask the operator or executive to update the eKYC for PM Kisan account & finish biometric authentication.
Rs 6,000 is transferred directly into farmers account
Under Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-Kisan), the government provides Rs 6,000 per annum in three equal installments of Rs. 2000 each. The monetary assistance is directly transferred to the farmers’ account every fourth month. In order to get this benefit regularly, farmers must update the mandatory eKYC verification for their PM Kisan account.
The official government website of PM Kisan has notified that eKYC is compulsory for PM Kisan-registered beneficiaries, and they are requested to contact the nearest CSC centres for biometric authentication.
As per several media reports, the government may soon release the 11th installment under the scheme. Hence before that complete your eKYC and check your account status on the PM Kisan official website.
