To promote agriculture and improve the economic conditions of farmers in the country, Centre is running several schemes and one of them is PM Kisan FPO Yojana. PM Kisan FPO Yojana is run by the Central Government, in which financial aid of Rs 15 lakh is provided to farmers’ organization for agriculture purpose.
What is FPO?
FPO is a group of farmers who work for the benefit of other farmers and who are registered under the Companies Act and take forward agricultural producers.
PM Kisan FPO Scheme Details:

It is a central government scheme that means all the farmers of the country can take benefit of this PM Kisan FPO Yojana.

About 11 farmers will have to form their own organization to take advantage of this scheme.

If this organization of 11 farmers is working in a plain region then they will have to bring in about 300 farmers with them.

If this organization is working in a hilly area then the organization will have to connect about 100 farmers with them.

It will be very easy for farmers associated with the organization to purchase essential items like seeds, fertilizer and agricultural equipment.
How to apply for PM Kisan FPO Yojana?
Interested farmers who want to apply online for this scheme will have to wait for sometime as the Centre has not yet started the registration process. As soon as the application process starts, the Government will inform through a notification.
There will be no middleman and money will directly reach in to farmers account.
Under this scheme, financial assistance of Rs. 15 lakh will be provided by the Centre to FPO and this amount will be provided by the government within 3 years.
By the year 2024, about Rs 6865 crore will be spent on PM Kisan FPO Yojana by the Central Government!
Benefits of PM KISAN FPO Yojna:
Small and marginal farmers don't have economic strength to apply production technology, services and marketing including value addition. Through formation of FPOs, farmers will have better collective strength for better access to quality input, technology, credit and better marketing access through economies of scale for better realization of income.
